IGLESIA SAN ESTEBAN
A Gothic church with what is considered the most beautiful romantic organ in Navarre
This fortress-like Gothic church dominates the town and houses what is considered to be the most beautiful romantic organ in all of Navarre. Built in the 15th century according to the model of the Latin cross, it was once a tower-house set up there because of the strategic view it enjoys over the valley of the River Zia. Little remains of its original construction due to the many wars in which the city was taken, leaving it at the mercy of looting and fire. The last restoration was carried out in 1964-1965.
