MOLINO DE URDAX
A mill provided flour to the surrounding farms in exchange for a saskito
During the 12th and 13th centuries, the Augustinian monks of the monastery developed the territory of Urdazubi by building canals, bridges and a mill to produce flour. It fell into disrepair and was rebuilt in the 18th century, supplying flour to the surrounding farms in exchange for a saskito (bushel). Today, the mill can be visited, in perfect working order. From mid-July to the end of August: visits from Thursday to Sunday. Out of season, visits are on Saturdays and Sundays.
