SAN JUAN HARRI COLUMN
It was built in 1564. It forms with Casa Constitorial a single architectural ensemble. On a stone base, the column, in stone, is also marked with pedestal and was arched, surmounted by a chapiteau which bears blown badges over time and which perhaps represented the House of Austria, Gipuzkoa and the University of Irún-Uranzu. At the summit is a statuette that has since 1964 "Historic Monument". Over time, this column eventually symbolizes Irún's personality and independence against the French invader. It also pays tribute to the generous initiative of the Lord of Undarrabia who did not hesitate to fire the fire at Aranzate's home, when she belonged to him, to burn 300 French soldiers who had fled there.
