HERMITAGE OF SANTA ELENA
Rectangular hermitage with gable roof and ashlar walls, now a museum with archaeological remains
The hermitage as it stands today is certainly from the 16th century. It is rectangular in plan, covered by a four-sided roof and the walls are made of ashlar, enriched by a porch in Isabelin style. The interior of the hermitage has been restored and turned into a museum where you can see some of the archaeological remains that have been found there. In the surroundings, we can see a public fountain of baroque style that bears the same name, built in stone, with a ceiling in the shape of a barrel vault.
