This hotel was founded in 1912 as part of the creation of a recreation area at the top of Mount Igueldo, including a casino, a funicular and the famous amusement park. It has 125 comfortable rooms with a fairly standard decoration, overlooking the bay or the mountain. The hotel offers a breathtaking view of the city and the ocean from its lounges and terrace with a large swimming pool. Its restaurant, El Torreón, is appreciated for its seasonal cuisine. An ideal hotel during a summer stay, to enjoy the view and the swimming pool!

Ensuite l’hôtel accueillait un mariage ( ce qui n’est pas un problème en soit) mais quand on nous dit qu’il n’était pas possible de manger au restaurant sur place ce soir là et que le restaurant le plus proche est à minimum 30 min en voiture ça dévient irrespectueux. Nous avons tout de même pu manger au bar de l’hôtel mais c’était sans compter sur le serveur le plus antipathique que j’ai rencontré dans ma vie. Pas un sourire et aucunes envies de nous servir.
