PEINE DE LOS VIENTOS
Sculpture made by Eduardo Chillida and Luis Pena, composed of three elements of nine tons of steel anchored in the rocks
Located at the western end of Ondarreta beach, the Wind Comb is a sculpture created by the artist Eduardo Chillida and the architect Luis Peña Ganchegui. It is made up of three nine-tonne steel elements, anchored in the rocks of the coast, which are being whipped by the onslaught of the Cantabrian Sea. At ground level, water and wind can be seen gushing under his feet through specially designed holes, producing a very special sound, which some people do not hesitate to call "the organ of Chillida".
