The Camino Ignaciano, created in 2011, a path that covers many kilometers of walking, derived from the pilgrimage of Ignatius of Loyola
It is almost 500 years since Ignatius of Loyola made the pilgrimage from his birthplace of Loyola to the Catalan city of Manresa - a key stage in his spiritual journey. In 1522 he set out on the road, with the aim of reaching the city of Jerusalem. In the end, the final destination was far less important than the road itself, since it was during his stay in Manresa that the Spiritual Exercises were born. Officially created in 2011, the Camino Ignaciano covers more than 650 kilometres in four weeks of walking.
