The old bridge "Zubi Zaharra" is one of the symbols of the city. Built in stone in 1795, it replaced a 14th century drawbridge which had been used to serve its purpose until then. Unfortunately, the bridge has suffered many destructions in the course of its history, the last one in the 1950s due to major floods. Although its current state dates from 1961, the bridge has remained an emblematic place in Ondarroa, to which its inhabitants are very attached.
