The beaches of Lekeitio, located at the mouth of the Lea River, offer a generally quiet and family atmosphere
The two beaches of Lekeitio are located at the mouth of the river Lea. On the left, next to the old port, Isuntza beach stretches out 250 metres wide. The atmosphere here is generally quiet and family friendly. To the right of the river Lea, the beach of Karraspio, 450 metres long, is a popular place to learn to surf or play beach volleyball. When the tide is low, you can walk to the islet of Garraitz ("the rock"), better known as San Nicolás. In the shade of its few pine trees, the panorama on the coast is superb!
