MERCADO DE GERNIKA
Until the middle of the 20th century, the weekly market in Gernika was held every Monday in the open air. Shortly after the bombing of the city, a large hall was built to house its stalls. The current building, rebuilt in 1991, continues to house the stalls of greengrocers, florists, butchers and cheese makers every Monday morning.
