A beautiful convent decorated with sculptures of monks praying and singing
This pretty convent is especially interesting for its Gothic cloister, which was started in 1357 but was not completed until the 16th century. In fact, it is the last medieval cloister in the whole of Bizkaia. It is decorated with sculptures representing monks praying and singing. The monastery has undergone major alterations throughout its history, during which it was used successively as barracks, prison, school and even market.
