RIO OJA
Seafood like cazuelas in a bar in Bilbao appreciated by the older generation.
Founded in 1959, the establishment is run by the third generation, which continues to perpetuate the family know-how. Around the ceramic counter is displayed the house specialty: the enormous cazuelas (of chipirons in their ink, cod with green chilli peppers, etc.) served in terracotta cassolettes. Popular, authentic and unpretentious, the Rio Oja is one of the classics of the Casco Viejo, particularly appreciated by the txikiteros, those groups of men of the old generation who tour the bars drinking wine and singing!
