Winner of numerous awards for its pintxos, El Globo is a Bilbao classic! Located next to the Palacio de la Diputación, it's a meeting place at any time of day. Around its bar, the atmosphere is effervescent, mixing a local clientele with well-informed visitors. The choice of pintxos is immense: txangurro (spider crab) au gratin, chipiron in ink au gratin, truffled potato au gratin, morcilla (blood sausage) from León with peanuts, chipiron croquettes... Track down those just out of the kitchen: freshness guaranteed!

Monday to Thursday 9am to 11pm, Friday 9am to midnight, Saturday 11am to midnight. Closed 1st fortnight of August. 15/20 €.
Owner's Message
At the counter of El Globo you will not fail to taste a wide variety of cold and hot pintxos, with ingenious presentations and flavors of all types, accompanied by a selection of wines (the blackboard that changes frequently recommends the wines to be tasted). Among the delights of the place, the crab au gratin (txangurro in Basque), on a piece of crusty bread cut lengthwise, and the marinated salmon. You will also find the tasting menu. Its terrace, in a pedestrian area, is a very popular place.
