Founded in 1940, the Victor restaurant is an institution in Bilbao! The establishment is organised around a pintxos bar on the ground floor, and a newly renovated upstairs dining room, offering beautiful views of Plaza Nueva from its large bay windows. In summer you can also enjoy its pleasant terrace. A la carte, many meat and fish dishes, including the unmissable bacalao Victor, an excellent cod dish with pilpil sauce and crushed tomatoes. The place also stands out for its impressive wine list.

Owner's Message
A classic of Bilbao's restaurant scene: Victor. It is one of the reference restaurants in the city, with a central location in the old town and near the Arriaga Theater.
Its typical Basque cuisine is made with the best ingredients; two of its star dishes are Victor cod and bull stew, in addition to its totally homemade desserts such as rice cake.
It has the largest wine cellar in Vizcaya with 1700 references of wine, so if you are going to visit or live in the city, Víctor is a must to really enjoy the Basque Country cuisine. Do not miss it.
