Next to the Azkuna Zentroa center, this traditional bar delights Bilbaínos with its "felipadas", delicious sandwiches made with anchovies, lettuce and hot sauce. Paco García, the bar's owner, readily recounts the genesis of the house's flagship pintxo : it is said to have been prepared for the first time in 1955 by a certain Felipe, a member of a cuadrilla. The very next day, his companions began asking for more "felipadas", until the little sandwich became a permanent fixture on the menu. And there's plenty more pintxos to discover at the counter!
