A fair with a rural and popular atmosphere where you can stroll among the stands of local products and taste with chorizo!
It is one of the most picturesque traditions of the Basque Country. It dates back to the Middle Ages when peasants came to town to pay their rent to the lords and used the opportunity to sell their produce. This is an opportunity to taste the specialities of the area, especially the talos with chorizo or txistorra, the undisputed protagonists of this fiesta. In Bilbao, around 300 stands are set up for the occasion between the Arenal and the Plaza Nueva. In San Sebastián, there are more than 200 in various squares around the city.
