EUSKALDUNA PALACE
Palace occupying more than 50,000 m² dedicated to the organization of congresses and musical shows
Designed by the architects Dolores Palacios and Federico Soriano, the Palacio de Congresos occupies part of the former Euskalduna shipyards. This singular building, which has become one of the symbols of Bilbao's renaissance, is in the form of a ship in perpetual construction. Its facade, covered with oxidized plates, evokes the old industrial activity of the city. Inaugurated in 1999, the palace occupies more than 50,000 m² dedicated to the organization of congresses and musical shows. It is also the seat of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra.
