DOÑA CASILDA PARK
Romantic park with a beautiful pergola, designed by Pedro de Ispizua, which regularly hosts concerts
This romantic park of more than 11 hectares was created in 1907 on land donated by Casilda Iturrizar, a wealthy widow who devoted the end of her life to helping the poor. The architect Ricardo Bastida designed an eclectic park with lush vegetation, inspired by the French landscape architect Jean Claude Forestier. Decorated with fountains and sculptures, it also has a pond populated by ducks, swans and peacocks. Don't miss its beautiful pergola added in 1927, a work by Pedro de Ispizua, which regularly hosts concerts.
