GARDENS OF ALBIA
Gardens built at the end of the 19th century, surrounded by beautiful eclectic buildings designed by renowned architects
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city lie these charming gardens built at the end of the 19th century, surrounded by beautiful eclectic buildings designed by renowned architects. On the Alameda de Mazarredo side, a statue erected in honor of the writer Antonio de Trueba is worthy of note. Towards the Palace of Justice, a statue of Sabino Arana Goiri, founder of the Basque Nationalist Party (PNV), is enthroned in the middle of the gardens. On weekdays, many workers from local businesses come here to have lunch in the shade of the trees.
