HERMITAGE OF SAN ROQUE DE KOLITZA
A gothic style hermitage with a curious stone construction where ice was stored
At the top of Mount Kolitza, at an altitude of almost 900 meters, stands this Gothic-style hermitage built in the 14th century in honor of Saint Roque and Saint Sebastian. On the way to the hermitage, you can see a curious stone construction where ice was stored! The site, now used as a refuge, was already documented in the 18th century. A very nice walk, whose starting point is located on the left side of the Bilbao-Arcentales road!
