MUSEO DE ALFARERÍA VASCA
Museum near the water reservoir in Legutio with a beautiful collection of Basque pottery
Located next to the water reservoir, the museum is housed in an old ceramic factory. The workshop, built in 1711, has been home to many generations of a family of potters: the Ortiz de Zárate. In 1958, during the construction of the Urrúnaga reservoir, the land where the potters used to get their clay was flooded, forcing them to abandon their activity. The museum has a beautiful collection of Basque pottery. In the workshop, you can observe the manufacturing process.
