CASA DEL CORDON
Rare civil building with a superb starry vault and an ancient gothic tower of historical and artistic value
This 15th century house takes its name from the Franciscan order cordon of the entrance arch. Commissioned by the merchant Pedro Sánchez Bilbao in the 15th century, its historical and artistic value today lies above all in the presence of an ancient Gothic tower inside the house, but even rarer is the fact that it is one of the few civil buildings that still has a superb starry vault. It was here that Adriano de Utrech received the news of his election as Pope Adriano VI.
