PLAZA DE LOS FUEROS
Monumental pink granite complex hosting cultural exhibitions and traditional Basque sporting events
Monumental ensemble in pink granite, dating from 1981 and which pays homage to the city's fueros (medieval charters). It was created by the illustrious sculptors Eduardo Chillida, Oteiza and Peña Ganchegui. Open-air pediment, bowling alley, space with grandstands. The overall picture is quite disconcerting! If the Plaza de los Fueros was designed to host cultural exhibitions, but also traditional Basque sporting events, it has ended up becoming a meeting and leisure place for the people of Vitoria. A visit is recommended!
