CHURCH OF SANTA MARÍA DE LOS REYES
Church with elements of Gothic and Renaissance style with a carved polychrome portal of Gothic art
Built from the 12th century, this church, dedicated to Santa María de los Reyes, was part of the fortified enclosure that protected the medieval town. Its construction continued until the 15th century, incorporating elements of Gothic and Renaissance style. The most outstanding feature of the church is its polychrome portal, a jewel of Gothic art carved in the 14th century (although the polychrome dates from the 17th century), one of the few still visible today in Spain.
