Biotopes representing an important refuge for a rich fauna and flora in Laguardia
The geological phenomena of the Ebro Valley, once flooded by a large lake, have given rise to lagoons: those of Carralogrono and Carravalseca. They dry out in summer, giving way to astonishing whitish areas due to the evaporation of the salts dissolved in the water. They are now an important refuge for a very rich fauna and flora. Visiting these biotopes between September and March is ideal, as the birds are then more numerous.
