EUROSTARS LOS AGUSTINOS
Convent founded in 1373 and converted into a beautiful hotel, whose 3-storey square cloister is the highlight, a must-see address
The convent of San Agustin was founded in 1373 in a building outside the city donated by Diego López de Haro. The current building dates from 1741 (extensively restored in 1989). The main façade is decorated with the shield of the Order of Saint Augustine and reliefs relating to it. Before being converted into a hotel, the convent was a prison, school and hospital. Today, it is a beautiful establishment, whose three-story square cloister is the highlight. The restaurant El Claustro, as its name suggests, is located in the cloister.
