This parador - not to be confused with that of Bernardo de Fresneda, also located in Santo Domingo de la Calzada - is set next to the cathedral in a former hospital which, in the th century, received the pilgrims from the pilgrim route of Santiago. As soon as you enter it, you are impressed by the vestibule in the Gothic arches. Great elegance of materials and colours, comfortable rooms, good restaurant specialized in pimientos piquillos, cod prepared according to the tradition of the Rioja.
