HOTEL COSTA VERDE *
Inaugurated in 1995, it is one of Gijón's archaeological museums, along with the Roman Baths of Campo Valdés and the Roman Villa of Veranes, all under the auspices of Gijón City Council. The park is the largest fortified maritime site on the Asturian coast. It provides information on Asturian prehistory and explains the origins of the city of Gijón, enabling visitors to understand the transition from pre-Roman to Roman times. The park's facilities comprise three main buildings: the reception, the museum and the lighthouse. The museum features a permanent exhibition tracing the history of the colony from its origins to Roman times. The park also boasts an archaeological itinerary, a bird observatory and a lookout with panoramic views over the port of El Musel and Gijón. Activities and services include guided tours, school programs, conferences, theater performances and more.
