PALACIO REVILLAGIGEDO
Baroque Palace housing an International Art Center with monumental remains of Gijón
This 18th-century Baroque palace was built on the remains of a medieval tower by order of the Marquis of San Esteban del Mar del Natahoyo. Today it houses the International Art Centre and is one of the most outstanding buildings in the city. Adjacent to the palace, the small Gothic collegiate church of San Juan Bautista (17th century façade) is one of the only monumental remains in Gijón and was the parish church for several centuries. Due to its excellent acoustics, it has now been converted into a concert hall.
