EVARISTO VALLE MUSEUM FOUNDATION
Monographic museum surrounded by 120 species of trees and shrubs, the most remarkable in Europe
The artist Evaristo Valle (1873-1951), a native of Gijón, is celebrated here, from his early Parisian paintings to his manuscripts. Considered one of the most outstanding monographic museums in Europe, the museum is housed in two buildings, one built in 1971, the other a former palace from the late nineteenth century. It is surrounded by 16,000 m² of gardens, adorned with 120 species of trees and shrubs, most of them from the region. A beautiful discovery!
