Fountain with 6 heads still the symbol of the city
This is the symbol of the city: the fountain with six heads, from the seventeenth century. It also bears the coat of arms of the city and Castile. Throughout history its function has evolved, originally as a watering place for livestock, and later for domestic use by the inhabitants. It is located right next to the church of San Nicolas de Bari. The local legend says that whoever drinks its water will see his dreams come true... without specifying if the water is drinkable!
