SANTA CRUZ DOLMEN
Dolmen under a church with several slabs of varying sizes and a pre-roman style chapel
The dolmen of Santa Cruz is dated to 3000 BC and is located under a church in an underground crypt. Several slabs of varying sizes can be seen, the largest slightly over 2 metres, forming a rectangular chamber to which the access was on the southeast side. All of them are decorated with red engravings and drawings. This dolmen is very large because it is possible to stand on it. The pre-Romanesque chapel built by King Favila in 737 AD was rebuilt after the Civil War.
