Your first morning of 3 days in Edinburgh begins in Old Town. Your steps will take you from bustling streets to charming shopping lanes. However, the essential focal point remains one of Europe's most beautiful castles, Edinburgh Castle.

Morning 1: Visit Edinburgh Castle

Morning 2: National Museum of Scotland and Greyfriars

Start your second morning in Edinburgh at the National Museum of Scotland, an impressive museum whose extensive collection ranges from Scottish historical artefacts to objects from all over the world. In the main gallery, children will love the exhibits on dinosaurs, science and cars.
