Perfectly typical of Stockbridge, Hector's is a trendy, relaxed gastro-pub with a rounded storefront. It's just as much a place for a good meal as it is for a drink. It's the local hangout - or canteen - for many local residents. The decor is that of a modern, friendly brasserie, and you can enjoy good burgers, steaks, lasagne, pies, duck confits and more. Try it on Sunday evenings for a traditional roast in an authentic family atmosphere.

Fish and chips great. Steak and ale pie overdone and small. Plate looked sparse. Bill brought over without advising us kitchen closed at 8.30. Disappointing as was about to ask for desert menu. 20 minutes later as we left to go to Raeburn for desert the table next to us got a lovely looking crumble delivered. Poor show.

Service was amazing by all staff. We were celebrating a friend's 40th birthday and we were very well looked after. Food was great and we had a great night. Thank you.

Fantastic place to eat. Four of us walked in at 1730 and had no problem getting a table - quickly filled up so worth booking ahead. No issues with taking the dog, in fact he got served first with a bowl of water when we sat down. Food was fantastic and portion sizes were spot on. Will definitely be back.
