Pretty average food, slow service and tacky atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend. Go to Cafe St Honore or Hawksmore for your steak.

Food was good, if a bit pricey. The downside was there were a lot of flies.

This is such an overrated restaurant. We’re here expecting a great steak to end our Edinburgh trip.

The service was fine, we had a surprise celebration platter at the end :) i guess waiters here just aren’t used to serve dishes to share but overall the attitude and service meet bare minimum.

But for the food…. To start off we ordered a bottle of wine, they placed the wine in a cooling jug without ice, no one came servicing and refill our glasses. We ordered two appetisers to share, only one came. The salad was without surprise, it felt like a bunch of leftovers and micro-greens mixed together. The steak we ordered, doesn’t even taste like the Scottish beef we had, the seasoning was really over, for sure we are having a kidney dialysis after. The pork main is fine but it doesn’t match with the purée(?) or whatever mash that is… At this stage, we can’t asked to order dessert.

Possibly the best Sunday Roast I’ve ever eaten out. Great service, lovely restaurant. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Exceptional Sundy roast to celebrate Easter and a 30th birthday. 4 of us shared the sirloin Sunday roast and couldn't fault anything. From the welcoming staff explaining even what knives were available to use during our dining experience, to the happy birthday chocolates that came with the sticky toffee pudding. Food outstanding customer service exceptional, thank you Kyloe.

Fantastic restaurant! We visited this restaurant in November when we came for a visit to beautiful Scotland. Our friend form Northumberland joined us..all of us were quite impressed. The steaks..the sauces..perfect. And thanks a lot to the kind restaurant manager Nathan Ramag for his incredible effort.

Excellent food, excellent service. Although the venue isn’t as accessible as it could be, every effort was made to welcome a wheelchair user. Thank you!

Service and atmosphere were very good. I ordered the trio platter called Taste of Hardiesmill (sirloin, flat iron and ribeye) and while I think quality of meat was good, the ribeye was so bitter from a burnt and dirty grill it was very hard to finish. It definitely was a rookie mistake from the chef that wasn't normal for such a highly priced item.
I complained and got 25% off, so good service. However I haven't left the restaurant happy with my restaurant choice.

Our group reached a unanimous consensus visiting Kyloe. This was the best steak we had ever eaten, and the sides were perfect in every way.

The place is beautiful and has a real ambience to it that creates a comfortable dining experience. The steaks were shown to us beforehand so we could see what was on offer first hand by an excellent waiter who was knowledgeable and friendly.

Between 9 of us, we enjoyed a real mixture of sides and steaks, but the main thing we agreed on was that this was a place that knew how to bring out the best flavour of the food prepared. Steaks were cooked perfectly but with a delicious criss cross char to them, I had the portobello mushrooms and baby new potatoes with a ribeye and chimichurri sauce and left all my dishes empty, but the cream spinach yorkie puds also proved really popular in the group. Everything was seasoned so well you won't need anything extra for them but an empty stomach.

This is the benchmark I will measure any steaks against going forwards and I highly recommend it to any meat lovers out there.

Lovely dinner on valentines day! Steak was perfect and the staff were awesome.

The food was amazing, and the staff was so helpful and explained how the meats work and what knives you should choose with the dish you chose. The atmosphere was great as well. The culinary experience was one of the best in edinburgh! I definitely do recommend visiting again in the future. The wine choice was extensive and they were tasty.

I do recommend booking in advance to secure a table as it’s a high demand place. truly amazing, thank you!

Lovely relaxed vibe, friendly staff and great food. We've eaten here a few times over the years and the food is always top notch. My son has a nut allergy and the staff were very on the ball with it, all the dishes we had were delicious and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. I also like that they put is in a booth towards the side of the restaurant so we were less worried about disturbing other visitors with our two young children, so it was enjoyable for everyone.

My partner and I visited for an impromptu early Valentines and felt we'd finally found the perfect time to use our gift card. Needless to say, we were not disappointed by any aspect of our visit.

The restaurant sits above The Huxley and is very chic with an almost a 60s or 70s feel with excellent views over Princes St and Queensferry St.

The service was excellent from our arrival, and our server Olivia was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The daily specials, along with their regular cuts, were explained in amazing detail, and the opportunity to choose our own steak knife was definitely a novelty we both enjoyed.

The food was simply divine. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the sides were fantastic! We went for the wagyu and the Hardiesmill cut of the day, both incredibly reasonably priced.

Overall, our bill came to just over £100 (before gift card). The price tag was undoubtedly worth it. Kyloe is definitely somewhere for a special occasion, or if you fancy splashing out just a little more for 10x the quality.

Outstanding!

Had an absolutely amazing meal - steak tartare, chateaubriand, and watercress/ beetroot/ feta salad. Carolina delivered fabulous service.

We have eaten at other top steak houses (such as Gaucho and Hawksmoor), but our experience at Kyloe knocked everything else out of the park. If you love steak, you'll love Kyloe.

Went, as a party of 8, for their Sunday Carvery... Food was great... everything you want from a Sunday roast! Delicious meat, served as you want it, with all the trimmings... followed by sticky toffee pudding... what more could you want ????.... Good value for such lovely food!

Fantastic food, oysters were great, steaks were impeccable. The staff were dead friendly and helpful. Really good choice of wine.

When we're back in Edinburgh again we will return!

Beautiful restaurant, great food! The staff is knowledgeable and gave us recommendations on what to choose, it was lovely to talk to one of the waiters at the end of the meal, she gave us many recommendations about Scotland and what to visit and she was a lovely and kind woman (from Poland sorry forgot the name!!). We loved the steak and the beef chips, quality is amazing!
