Leo's Beanery hides in a Georgian basement in New Town, but it is one of the most charming in the city.

Leo's Beanery is a little hidden in a Georgian basement in New Town, but it's one of the most charming coffee shops in the city. Held by a couple and their employees, it is a choice of choice for breakfast, lunch or a simple snack with coffee. The seal is unique, thanks to furniture made with benches of churches and good little music. Sandwiches, soups, salads, quiches and cakes are a delight.

What a find. Such amazing food for such a tiny little hidden gem. Butternut and coconut soup was amazing and my husbands pulled lamb flatbread was his best meal he’s had in a very long time. Thanks very much for the staff for being so patient while he grilled you on how to replicate. Not forgetting the gluten free raspberry and almond cake which went down a treat a lot earlier than expected.

Lovely staff and great service.

Highly recommended.

Leo's Beanery is hidden away under a shop, look down and for the Blue! It's small and popular; when we went, it was really busy, and having ADHD I found it overwhelming, however, the waitress who looked after us was really friendly/understanding and helped us by finding a table a bit more hidden.

There are shared table options, the food was good/healthy, and the coffee was top tier. We spend around £10 each for coffee and granola/porridge.

What a great start to our morning, thank you!

To say this is the best breakfast I’ve ever had outside of home is no exaggeration.
