Leo's Beanery hides in a Georgian basement in New Town, but it is one of the most charming in the city.

Leo's Beanery is a little hidden in a Georgian basement in New Town, but it's one of the most charming coffee shops in the city. Held by a couple and their employees, it is a choice of choice for breakfast, lunch or a simple snack with coffee. The seal is unique, thanks to furniture made with benches of churches and good little music. Sandwiches, soups, salads, quiches and cakes are a delight.

Got the quiche and the veggie toast with their home chai tea!! Will definitely go again, the food was amazing, the people were so friendly, and it was a cozy environment. Would highly recommend!

Lovely staff, perfect vibe, epitomises a joyful coffee shop.

The house blend is delightfully bold and just short of "chalky" - "astounded"

Little room for improvement in any dimension - they may be as perfect as is possible here.

Eye for detail out of the kitchen is highly apparent, the type of experience where your eyes want to eat every other plate you see brought forth for other diners. ????

Terrible service. They charged us more for a topping of the eggs that wasn’t written anywhere on the menu. Their reply was “this has never happened to us before”. To me neither. I know how to read a menu and nowhere on this menu stated that there would be extra charge for this topping. My issue is not about the 2 pound (we’ve already paid a lot for a super basic tasteless brunch) my issue is with the attitude :) congrats you’ve made my write my first negative review!

Popped in for brunch as this place was recommended, the porridge and banana bread were a real hit with our group. Great service, a lovely buzzy atmosphere and great location.
