Staff are welcoming and friendly.
service was good though
Fusion is how the menu was explained to us by your staff.
I didn’t seem that returning the food would have been welcome, given the managers comments when we asked for a small delay in between starters and mains “my manager wants to know what you’re doing” after maybe 10 mins of requesting the delay. Perhaps this is why the food wasn’t hot?
Cleanliness, perhaps look around where we were sat just under the stairs.
Your comment relating to me being ill, perhaps I should’ve taken photos for you? This would have cleared this up without a doubt as to the food responsible.

Pretty setting, food not good.
The meals we had were bland, not hot and the “potato smash” made me sick just a few hours after leaving.
Some nonsense about French fusion food, creates a strange menu even the staff can’t explain. If you’re a French restaurant, be one, and be a good one don’t confuse it with your world experiences. This is not a Michelin restaurant, your “fusion” doesn’t work.
It’s a shame, the restaurant is cosy and pretty (albeit a little dirty) but is massively let down by the food.
The food we had was delicious and very filling.
The serving staff were very lovely but were clearly busy so it took a while to track one down and get the bill!
The Baileys Crème Brûlée was probably the best crème brûlée that I have ever had.
The venison and gumbo were delicious also.
Oh and you must try the haggis balls!
We had a lovely and memorable evening.
Une bonne adresse à Edimbourg.
Cibo e servizio non ottimo
The holiday/Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning the commute to the bathroom (a couple floors up) and in general I was pleasantly surprised at how much seating was available! We were able to come in and be seated quite quickly on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation. Great place to come while you’re popping in and out of shops in Victoria street
Will absolutely return during my next visit to Edinburgh!
