Overlooking Edinburgh Castle and Waverley Station, The Scotsman is a 4-star hotel built in 1905. It has a sublime baroque architecture. The hotel once housed the offices of the national newspaper The Scotsman, hence the name. Luxurious in every detail, the hotel combines Scottish hospitality with the comforts of the most modern establishments (DVD player and Internet access in the rooms, health club and spa, etc.). The hotel offers 58 rooms and 14 suites, ranging in size from 34 to 80 square meters.

Tip: If you're arriving from the train station, look closely for the Market Street entrance...it's easy to miss.
