Balmoral is the quintessence of British chic in the heart of Edinburgh. The building is one of the most beautiful in the city. It was built in 1902 and has never ceased to be a hotel since. Inside, 188 double rooms, some of them communicating, offer all the brilliance expected of such an address. Huge bed, desk, armchairs, flat screen, bathroom with bathtub, everything is there, and more: a spa, a gym, a swimming pool, a sauna, two restaurants, a tea room and two bars, one of which offers more than 400 Scotch whiskies

Very much enjoying our stay here at the Balmoral for my partners Birthday, all the staff go the extra mile and they really get to know you on a personal level which makes the whole experience feel exclusive and welcoming. The rib eye steak in the Brasserie is very much recommended and breakfast to your room is a must do. The rooms are also very clean and spotless with comfortable bed. Definitely returning and eager to go to other Rocco Forte hotels in future.

A fabulous place to stay. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever! All staff highly efficient and helpful. Afternoon tea excellent. But be warned practice eating loads!! Hope to return in the future.

Dated, extraordinarily expensive, and hard to justify for you get. Mega lolz. Fighting youth and struggling homeless people begging at the train station exit is the ironic cherry on top.
