Because one night isn't enough, Edinburgh organizes three days of non-stop festivities every year on New Year's Eve. The idea is to have fun with all those who want to dress up, with concerts, fireworks, ceilidh and gatherings. All the same, the event is one of Discovery Channel's "Top 25 experiences to have around the world" and "Top 100 things to experience before you die". There are several evening events on offer, some of which are ticketed and must be booked in advance, while others are not. Accommodation and evening events can also be booked.
