For two and a half hours, guides will tell you all the little anecdotes, from the great buildings to the dark alleys. They tell you about witches, the Covenantaires, the Enlightenment, Harry Potter, Greyfriars Bobby, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde... An excellent first approach. Specialized paid tours are also available, including one of Edinburgh Castle and a pub crawl to learn all about the city's best pubs. Although the tour is free, a contribution is appreciated to thank the guide.
