To climb to the top of this small hill, it's best to approach from Leith Walk and continue along Royal Terrace and Regent Terrace. As you climb, you'll see old buildings such as the Royal High School and The Calton Jail, a prison opened in 1817. Most interesting of all, however, is the view of the city from the top, followed by the chance to gain a little more altitude by climbing the Nelson Monument tower. Calton Hill offers one of the finest views of the town, with a panorama that embraces both the castle and the Fife of Forth.

Very pretty walk to do in Edinburgh! Easily accessible on foot from the town centre, you will once have up a magnificent view of the entire city. To see the " Monument" national; , a species of assembly of Greek columns finished step, one of which request what you can do in Scotland, an old observatory, and nelson's Monument, at the top of a ball cannon is open every day at 13:00 (at the same time as One o'clock gun derives from the castle).
A peaceful place, particularly pleasant if the weather is nice (yes that arrive at Edinburgh!)
