CLARINDA’S TEA ROOM
This Royal Mile Tea Room dates back to 1976. Deliciously kitsch and cosy, it is perfect for a gourmet break.
Agnès Maclehose, known as Clarinda, was a good friend of the poet Robert Burns. This tea room is of course not as old, since it dates back to 1976, but it transports back in time with its walls covered with old plates, paintings and photographs. Here you can enjoy homemade scones, which can be served with pastries - carrot cake, gingerbread, shortbread, empire biscuit, among many others - while drinking tea or coffee. This deliciously kitsch and cosy establishment is perfect for a so British break between two visits.
