Sport and tradition are perfectly combined in this club. It opened its doors in 1878 and obtained royal status a century later in 1978. In 2006, it hosted the 145th Open Championship. It is considered one of the most demanding and prestigious courses. Old Course, very windy, is a real challenge. The Portland route is more accessible. Visitors are welcome, but under certain conditions: minimum age 12 years, minimum level, dress code to be respected. Reservation in advance is mandatory.
