OFFICE DE TOURISME DE KYLE OF LOCHALSH
Located in the town of Kyle of Lochalsh, the area offers a magnificent landscape of castles, hills and lochs. It's also the gateway to the Isle of Skye and the wonderful northwest coast. The village is on the road to Skye, where the Skye Bridge crosses Inner Sound to Kyleakin. Nearby is the picturesque village of Plockton, set on the sheltered bay of Loch Carron, as well as Scotland's highest waterfall, the Five Sisters of Kintail, and the Glen Shiel walks, steeped in Jacobite history. Kyle's main shopping center is made up of mainly whitewashed buildings, and offers a wide range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, as well as a few stores and a bank. The town's shoreline extends well to the east of the quay, and is home to the railway station with its regular services to and from Inverness.
