If you want to stay, eat or drink in Dornoch, this castle is an address not to be missed! It has the best hotel in town, one of the best restaurants and a bar whose selection of real ales alongside its 300 single malts has been praised by CAMRA. The beers come from Orkney or the Cairngorms. The building dates back to 1577. The 24 rooms are elegant, very comfortable and some offer a four-poster bed or nice views on the enclosed garden. Food-wise, refinement and flavors are found in the plate.
