Skara Brae is one of Europe's best-preserved prehistoric villages. Discovered after a storm in 1850, it has become a landmark of Orcadian heritage. You can visit the remains of ancient houses, with their stone beds and living rooms. There's even a reproduction of what they really looked like. Many artifacts were found here. The ticket also includes a visit to the neighboring Skaill House, a 17th-century manor house.
