For an original, inexpensive and archipelago-wide type of accommodation, you can turn to Camping Böd Network. A böd is a traditional fisherman's cottage. They can be found all over Shetland. Nine of them have been summarily refurbished to welcome travelers from March to the end of October, and can accommodate from 4 to 16 people. Facilities are basic and you'll need to bring your own comforter, but the authentic experience is guaranteed. Please note that some have neither electricity nor showers
