THE IDIOT
Created in 1996 by a Russian who had spent several years in the United States, this coffee opened in a former community apartment of the Soviet era, it was furnished in a style early twentieth, and took the name of a Dostoyeevski novel. No consistency in this story! You enter this dark coffee, in the basement of a building along the Moika (attention to the steps!), as in a secret bowl. Low and arched ceiling, deep leather armchairs, oak tables, long shelving of books, oil paintings… are some elements of this heterogeneous decor. Here you can play chess and backgammon, drink a hot wine while listening to jazz, but also lunch, of course. Chilled salmon and fresh cream, marinated mushrooms or large plates of vegetables… You'll only have a choice of choice. The restaurant offers consistent Russian cuisine.
